My Shitty Weekend

Well, tomorrow's my Golden birthday and I'll be working all day. B.O.O.H.O.O.

Also, I went camping this past weekend. It was fun until Sunday night. One of my dogs started coughing and wheezing, then turning blue. We took him to an emergency vet at 1AM. His trachea collapsed. They fixed him up overnight and charged us just over $500. We were driving home (we were still in Indiana where we were camping) and he started up again. Long story short, he had to be put to sleep. Much sadness in the Gross household. :_(

However, we're trying to normalize. My wife is taking it the hardest. He was pretty much her dog. I bought him for her when we were 18. I thought taking a dog to get put down would be no big deal, but it's really tough to watch your little dog suffer, then get euthanized while you hold him. Yes, I cried. Normally, I'm very good with death, but it was too much to watch him die right in front of me.

15 people farted in the elevator:

Jacob—So sorry to hear about your dog. Death is a sucky thing.

Happy 30th Birthday tomorrow! May you be surrounded by the ones who matter and stuffed full of cake.

Well, tomorrow's the 28th, and it's my golden, so I'm going to be 28. I'm not 30 yet. My hairline and spots of gray would beg to differ, though.

Oh, the golden thing threw me off. I new you were in your twenties but...I'm a dumbass.

I'm so sorry about the dog. I hope you'll be able to enjoy your golden birthday despite this tragedy. Last year, I got to celebrate my 5-year wedding anniversary the day after we found my kitty who had been hit by a car. It surprised me then how deeply sad I was, so I can only imagine how hard it is for you and your wife, especially since you had him for 10 years (?).

Like I said, despite that, I hope you have a great birthday.

that sucks about the dog, sorry dude. And that sucks about the $500 lost.

First, I am really sorry about your dog. I know how much that sucks.

Second, Happy birthday! But why is 28 your golden? What am I missing here?

My deepest regrets on the loss of your family pet. Death is a hard thing to face, especially when there is a strong bond. I cried like a baby when I came home and found our rabbit dead.

But on a lighter note....HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I hope you have a happy birthday anyway, as much as you can.

I'm so sorry. I have had to put down two dogs and two cats, and the first dog was my baby; I was five months pregnant at the time and I cried so hard I had to go to the doctor to see if the baby was okay. It sucked big. time. I hope you're fairing better today, especially since . . .

ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY!!!! YAY!!!

Please do something fun!

Um, I didn't mean that I put down my real, human baby. She's almost 8now. Jeez, I meant that my dog was my "baby."

Sorry again, Jake. The life cycle sucks sometimes.

I didn't know you even had a dog. I am very sorry about having to go through such a traumatic experience in such a short time. Please send my condolences to your wife. Tell her the crazy chick from Jersey says hi. :)

Oh and FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS dude! I also need you to explain the golden birthday thing. Did you get a gold Jesus medallion to wear or something?

I heard that a guy I hadn't talked to in 7 years had died and I cried for 2 days. I also got terribly drunk. I don't handle death very well at all. In fact, right now I'm crying for your dog. :( So sorry for your loss.

But happy birthday!!!! Even though I was late, the sentiment is still there!!!! :)-

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.
My Chihuahua passed away a little over a year ago. I came home and found my Pomeranian lying on my front porch and discovered that they had dug their way out of the back yard while I was at work. I went out back to find my Lucky and could not find him. I went out front and sae a little bump down the road and ran down there crying. It was all from like a movie scene. I was screaming and crying my neighbors came out to check on me and I carried my little baby home. I think I cried for about a week.

I'm also sorry I’m so damn late to wish you a Happy Birthday. So I hope that you had a good one!!!
